Vision: To use basic tenets of Hinduism to empower children and youth to be proud of their identity and inspire them to become positive contributors to society.

Mission & Vision

 Founded in early 2000, the Hindu School of KY (HSKY) offers weekly Hindu religion classes for children and youth in the greater Louisville area. HSKY is a volunteer-driven organization that is affiliated to and operates under the auspices of the Hindu Temple of Kentucky, a non-profit organization.

  • To provide a fun, secure learning environment to educate children on Hindu religion through stories, quizzes, Bhajans, Shlokas, yoga, theater production etc.
  • To instill Hindu values and develop discipline, embrace identity, build character & self-esteem.
  • To develop awareness of Hindu culture and traditions by celebrating our Hindu festivals

Classes & Registration

Classes

 CLASSES  EVERY SUNDAY: from September 8, 2024, through May 25, 2025

75 minute class for Grades 2+

60 minute class for Pre K – Grade 1

Child has to be 3 years or older as of September 1st 2024  to register.

10:30 AM – 11:45 AM | Seva (Service) | Grade 8 and  above

10:30AM – 11:45 AM | Dharma (Righteousness) | Grades 6, 7

10:30AM – 11:45 AM| Karuna (Compassion) | Grades 4, 5


10:30AM – 11:45 AM| Vinaya (Good Conduct) | Grades 2, 3

10:30 AM – 11:45 AM| Sathya (Truth) | Grades K, 1

10:30 AM – 11:45 AM| Prema (Love) | Pre K1, Pre K2


Annual Registration Fees

Annual registration fees cover cost for HSKY Operations, materials, school events + activities throughout the year).

Late Registration Fee will be charged for all Students registering after Sunday, September 29th
